ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in southern England, where my interest in drawing first began. In 1969 I emigrated to Canada and settled in the Toronto area where I dabbled in oil and acrylic painting. After moving to London, Ontario and my family had grown-up, I continued to pursue my love for painting. Under the guidance of Kit Cutting, Fred Harrison, Kim Harris & Hilda Markson-Gray I further developed techniques working in oil and water colour. I am currently a member of the Lambeth Art Association and Brush & Palette Club. My work has been exhibited in art shows and my paintings are in private collections across North America and Europe. The natural beauty of Canadian and European landscapes have been the inspiration for many of my paintings. My work expresses the beauty of life's simple pleasures using colours that reflect the mood of my subjects
